COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Loads of citrus and peppers in the aroma, slight dust. There is a nice balanced hop profile underlying the dryness and peppers. Really quaffable and good. Blueprint for the style.

Light gold, fizzy fluffball white head. Hay, grass, clove, cinnamon, bready/dank yeast.. Banana tongue. Light spice, funk and mild hops. Very well balanced saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Straw golden with 3 finger head. Aroma of farmhouse yeast, banana, hoppy. Taste is huge, complex and dry. Bread, yeasty, opens up to pineapple, citrus, spicy, hops. The hops develop more on the finish with a good yeast kick. Good drinker this one.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2015 Dark gold pour, strong white 12 finger head. Nose is citrus and funky Belgian yeast. Bitter. Middle is sweet bready malt, tangerine and orange playing together, and a hint of licorice. Finish is yeasty and bittersweet. This has improved from my first try.

(bottle - corked & caged 750 ml) Slightly hazy gold pour with puffy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with some grapefruity hop notes. Flavor isn’t as bitter and acidic as I thought thankfully. Light bitter hops with some mild spice and lots of farmhouse yeast. Very clean and slightly bitter finish.

Great package here. Well balanced between hay, Belgian floral yeast and a touch of hops. Pours cloudy orange with good head and lacing. Finishes lightly floral and sweet. Tap at Smoke and Barrel.

Mildly fizzy on the tongue. Pours a beautiful golden yellow, with a thick white head. It’s an amazingly clean and crisp Saison. Even though it’s 8.5%, it’s not overburdened with a high alcohol flavor.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 One of my favorite saisons! The wife and I have both voted and the consensus was unanimous that this is the perfect beer with a fancy $10 burger. I get hops, citrus and funk which is my trifecta of perfection in a farmhouse style saison.

Bottle. Hazy, pale golden with a good white head. Spicy fruit nose, hints of coriander. Lemony flavours, a bit acidic, also quite bitter. Dry finish. Interesting.
