Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thats just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard its fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Bottle shared by Rob at the Pig in Boca. Thanks! Small snifter pour was yellow-gold with a nice fluffy one finger head. Aroma was biscuit, barnyard, wet straw, funk, fruit (apricot or lychee). Taste was awesome with funky wild yeasts, hay/straw, slight fruity esters, horse blanket. Light, clean, carbonated, funky finish. Damn good and look forward to another one of these.

Aroma and taste very nice: refreshing ( grapefruit ) slightly bitter hops, noticable yeast. Aftertaste a bit underwhelming but nice.

Bottle at Smash, Reading. Feint hay aroma. Light yellow. Slightly hazy. Bubbly. Massive head. Medium bitter. Crisp citrus, with a caramel sweetness coming through. Smooth and creamy. Good stuff.

Pale yellow beer with a lively, white head. Lively carbonation. Aromas of fresh wheat and lemon zest. Taste follows the nose with fresh wheat, lively lemon notes, hay, and some bread malts. Some peppery notes thrown in for good measure. Sweet lemon finish with some wheat. Very refreshing and hides ABV quite well.

A mouth of herbs and some fruit, citrus notes, floral things happening. Very full in your mouth, very pleasant and interesting. Not much bitterness and not much of a taste of alcohol. Very nice!

Bottle from Discount. Best by October 2016, but its a saison. Pours a clearish, glowing straw with 2 fingers of foam that linger. Nice barnyard nose with some lemon and pepper. Clean and crisp on the palate, active carbonation and nice grainy texture but a smooth, creamy finish. Hides the abv fairly well. Nice peppery finish with good yeast character throughout.

Hazy golden, creamy warm white head and nice lacing, looks good. Strong fresh and sweet aroma, flowery notes, citrus, bit spicy, spring-time feel. Medium body, crisp, flowery spicy here also, bit herbs, belgian yeast notes, long natural finish. Excellent, easy to drink, tasty, natural, pure, balanced, very fresh.
