Thanks sebletitje for the share. Pours a gold and brown color with an off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, raisin, dark fruit, and sugar with a slight alcohol burn. Pours cloudy orange, with amazing beige/golden head with light golden lacing.
Aroma has some sweet vanilla / phenol and notes of esters with notes of malty / toffee aroma.
Taste is pretty much same as aroma with good thick mouthfeel, light nutty presence caramel malts, some notes of sweet vanilla, fruity with light apple/pear palate and spices. Finish is lightly bitter.
Amazing palate from beginning to end.

Bottle, sampled at Woodshop Quad. Pours a cloudy brown-amber with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma, of malt, preserved citrus, herbs, caramel. Dark amber hue with fair clarity, large frothy off-white head sustains. Nose if sweet dark fruits (raisins, figs, cherries), tones of pepper, malts, belgian yeast. Flavor is mostly dark fruits highlighted by figs and raisins, light pepper and spices, hints of Belgian yeast and underlying malts and hops. Full-bodied, moderate-high carbonation, thick and rich texture with fairly hot alcohol warming. Complex Quad with dark fruits complimented by yeast, spices, and malts. Bottle. Very hazy dark almandine body with a thick lasting foamy head. Nose-alcohol, fig, raisin, cola, candy sugar. Taste-perfect CO2, unsweet dark fruit, apple, clove, perfect sweetness, caramel, alcohol, white grape skins, tobacco, light white pepper. Not at all sticky with a perfect sweetness.

750ml bottle, pours in a rochefort trappist glass, dark amber-copper color, with a frothy thick creamy beige head, leaving laces, sweet grainy toasted, caramelized malt, cookie dough nose, with some fruity esters of dried raisins, figs, dates. with a Graham’s cookie, sponge toffee, crunchie bar aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasty, caramel, biscuity malt character, with a cookie dough, nice toffeeish, crème brulée, graham’s cookie accent, with some dark dried fruity notes of raisins, figs, dates, plums with a hint of dark candi sugar, molasses, and nutmeg spiciness, within a warmth mouthfeel. leading towards a warming, malty, fruity, chocolatey finish. jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 29, 2009

Pours a huge creamy tan colored head, diminishing, and a dark ruby red color body. Strong dark fruity, flowery aroma, fig and a touch of alcohol. Very sweet nd floral, very Belgiany. Creamy mouthfeel, flowery taste. Lightly sweet, not sickly. Dark fruit is not as pronounced, sweet aftertaste, some hotness. 750 ml. batch S8508, thanks to General Gao. Darkish ruby-copper with a lasting quarter-inch of cream. Mild aroma of toffee, tart berry and light wood. Flavor is already-chewed bubblegum and lightly sour apple-cherry, turning to prunes and harshish vinous alcohol in the middle, then to an oak-cork finish. Bottle from theisti, shared at SL. The pour was orangey amber, plenty of carbonation and head, lacing mediocre. The aroma was dried light fruits, some bread, caramel. The flavor lacked the dark fruit depth I like in a quad, was like an imperial blonde doppelbock more than anything Belgian - spices? Flavors of bread, light fruits (white rasins most prominent?), candy sweet, caramel, and some alcohol heat. The mouthfeel as on target for the style, big, somewhat sticky finish. Mediocre at best for a Quad, and when I have to put down this much alcohol, I want more for my experience. Tim, thanks for the opportunity on this one, appreciate it!
