COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
How can a style as elegant and refined as pilsner be "amped up" to imperial status? The answer, as Spinal Tap guitarist Nigel Tufnel might say, is simple: you go to eleven. With its classic recipe and impeccable craftsmanship, Reverb Imperial Pilsner echoes our Collaboration No. 1 Imperial Pilsner, produced in 2009 with esteemed Belgian brewmaster Jean-Marie Rock. Like its predecessor, this summer seasonal is a study in delicately balanced contrasts. Up front, Pilsner malt makes a clear yet restrained statement, answered by the steady, harmonious hum of Saaz hops, traces of which linger in the dry, crisp finish. Rock on.

@ Whitey’s Liquor / Lawrenceburg IN --- Clear golden amber with a rocky white head that drops to a solid head cover, streamers of lace. Taste is sweet malt with floral overtones that turns more bitter as it moves through the palate to a cleansing finish. Pilsner, yes, much more assertive, also yes. A great choice for a Spring afternoon with light snacks.

.75 bottle. Golden yellow. While the one-three imperial pilsners I’ve had so far have always been very heavy, slightly too sweet or overhopped (much like hoppy doublebocks really), this one greets you with a really nice pilsnery clean malty nose, and those lovely soothing, subtle tingling fine hops. Body is full, smooth, without being sticky. I’m pleasantly surprised. Definitely the best ’imperial pils’ I’ve had, and a really nice beer overall.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika.Golden hazy color, ok foam. Aromas; starts of with light hops, then fruity and floral aromas- in the end nice yeast influence; medium intensity. Medium body & complexity. Good bitterness and well balanced. Very enjoyable- I expect its the best Imperial Pils Ive tasted so far

Bottle at home. The colour is slightly cloudy dark straw and with a medium light beige head. Aroma of pale malt, hay, sweet corn, mown grass and some citrus. Has a nice sweetnes as well. More grassy hops in the flavour and with hay and some sweet corn. A little dry ending. Has a slick and rich mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. A well-balanced pilsner with a nice sweetness and hoppy touch.

The appearance has a somewhat clear golden yellow colored body with a nice two fingered white foamy head that dies within about thirty seconds. What lacing there is tries to cling but slides for the most part, but there really isn’t much lacing at all to be honest. I do see some carbonation rising at a decent pace
The smell has a nice combination of peppery spices playing with a slight citrus/lemony of sorts with some white grapes with a floral aspect show up as it warms.
The taste is slightly bitter to begin with and as it starts to warm a nice grassy maltiness comes out; floral yet grassy aftertaste with a quick dry finish.
The palate sits light on the body with a good carbonation for an American Double Pilsener leaving enough harshness but not overly doing it, decent sessionability.
Overall, this is a nice American Double Pilsener that I would have again and would definitely put it up with its respected food. Personally, I think I could do this with a nice big juicy steak right off the grill.

Pours a clear bright yellow color with a clean malt aroma. Taste is simple, a bit watery. A mild earth corn taste with a simple bitter aftertaste. A minimal unfiltered water aftertaste which lingers on the palate.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a very tall, pillowy white head that creates a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma has a strong pils malt, lots of saaz hops, mild lemony acid nose. Flavor has a strong grain flavor up front with a noble hop kick in the middle and finish. Body is light, crisp and has loads of carbonation. Overall a good brew.
