I smell alcohol, ginger, pears & caramel. Thick, light golden head over clear golden amber—pretty. I taste confectioner’s sugar (one reason i usually avoid quads & such, but I enjoyed the last two boulevard smoke stacks I had), strawberry, alcohol (my digestive tract starting warming with the first sip) and maple. Sweet, boozy finish.

Amber color poured into a stemmed chalice. Lots of yeast "floaties". Fair amount of carbonation. Aroma of plum and dark dried fruits. Medium body with a little hop bitterness. The alcohol is hidden well. Finishes a little sweet.

Old bittkevtl glass. Aroma of wet cardboard and must. Meh. A watery flat kind of taste. Well. This doesn’t hold up well. Decent enough.
