Wasn’t sure about this but added this to a flight at The Distillery in Savannah and really liked it. Balanced and full of flavor.

Chuck’s CD, Seattle. Heavy, red-tinged gold, clear. Small foam. Intense menthol, mint, alcohol very present. Not bad. Toffee, christmas-like candy. Anise, biscotti. Heavy, thick. Very interesting, unique, glad I tried it but not for me. Interesting that this beer draws so many opinions ... you seem to love it or hate it (unless you’re me, and you’re firmly in the middle).

On tap at Three Kings Manchester. It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of mint, wood and alcohol. The taste was similar with more mintiness, wood, a touch of bourbon, and alcohol. Pretty tasty. snoworsummer (5698) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 5, 2016
Draft at the Gnarly Barley. Pours clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like booze, mint, lemon/lime citrus, and woody malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like mint, lime, sugar, and bourbon. Mortlach (2347) - Rome, ITALY - JUN 3, 2016
Can shared by ippopotamo36. Pours pale amber, filtered, with a medium off-white foam. Aroma of chewingum, peppermint, caramel, no peculiar traces of whisky. Flavour of mint, balsamic, caramel. Medium body, medium to light carbonation. Not my cup of tea.

Sampled at HopCat Detroit. Clear gold ring of white head. Nose is straight toothpaste, a little lime too. Flavor is ginger ale, cream soda and spearmint gum. Sweet finish. Train wreck. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - MAY 20, 2016
Deep brown with large head. I’m not sure what is more alarming in the taste, the mint or the booze. Aroma is very minty. It’s certainly interesting ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 18, 2016
I’m usually a big fan of Boulevard’s beers and the don’t shy away from experiments, but this was not my cup of tea - or julep. The mint was sickening to me, particularly in the way it merged with some of the Belgian spices. Slick mouthfeel. Tried at the Waiting Room in 2016. 4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of mint and herbs. Tastes of mint, caramel, light herbs and spices. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Interesting combo. Mintiness reminds me of the dentist. DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2016
Draft at Craft. Hazy gold pour with white head. Nose was malt, hops, woody spirits, mint. Tasted like a tripel with some mint added and more oaky whisky as it warmed. Decent.
