Wasn’t sure about this but added this to a flight at The Distillery in Savannah and really liked it. Balanced and full of flavor.

A dark golden beer with minimal head. The aroma is yeast, fruit, and mint. The flavor is spice, wood, yeast, and mint. Super good beer. thomas15 (689) - Alabama, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Aroma is mint julep straight on, bourbon with mint, vanilla, wood. Very unique. Appearance is brown gold with little to no head, slight spotty lacing. Taste is vivid mint, backend bourbon, vanilla. Surprisingly interesting to drink. Slight chocolate makes for a momentary thin mint quality that I love. Silky smooth only slightly sticky. I’m a big fan of this one. It’s totally weird though. katrinaez (2071) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2016
Very interesting and done well. Sweet and minty, but not so much that you feel grossed out. Slight sugar, a touch of hops, mint, and very light otherwise. Light orange color with haze. Scent has some funk and mint. Mouth is medium full with sugars. Tap freeofthoughts (688) - Raytown, Missouri, USA - AUG 13, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2013 On tap, pours hazy golden yellow with small white bubbles. The aroma is oak and mint with a big sweetness. The taste is hearty and full with a strong golden Belgian body but big mint kick and boozy oak with a light hearted bourbon touch. Very heady, for the adventurous, it finishes smooth and sparkling with bold carbonation. Big Belgian alcohol feel, sugar to the face with a bourbon touch that makes the mint work. The more I drink the less the mint seems to pervade, it becomes the big smooth triple with a hint of barrel and a tugging little minty reminder mostly in the aftertaste. Interesting, strange, unique, not at all bad though. Kudos boulevard. --From notes this may be unrelated, unlabeled bottle from brewery with stamp on neck "Christmas ale". Pours dark amber honey like with of white head. Taste is strange with a bright malty Belgian flair and an earthy spice and palate. Behind an intense wide varied array of flavors there is a spearmint or peppermint leaf that lingers with the oddly spiced Belgian flavors. I kind of don?t know what to make of it, while it?s not bad it?s just a bit of a smattering on the palate.--

Julep-like minty aroma. Quite minty in taste with significant bourbon notes over a light tripel. Pale golden in color with a strong sudsy white head. A bit too minty for me, but a great idea and well-done.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 Dempsey’s in Lawrence; on tap into Blvd tulip. Golden and cloudy, low clarity. Small head. Aroma is definitely minty like a bit of toothpaste thrown into a strong beer. Surrounded by warming alcohol, a bit like beer mouthwash. Sweet Belgian underneath that with heft. Flavor starts off with faint banana hard alcohol candy and then comes along minty finish. I like it, cool. It’s like sweet mint and alcohol. Probably exactly what the brewers wanted. Thick body with lighter carbonation. bobbyberbiglia (188) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAY 2, 2013
9oz Draft A - Pours a cloudy golden hue with a one finger white head. Ok retention. Good lacing. S - Mint-citrus bubblegum. A boozy tingle on the nose. T - Sour, funk, biscuit, and mint. Odd, but intresting. Alcohol is hidden well. M - Medium bodied. Faint carbonation. Long mint finish. O - Glad KC got some love. Wish it tasted more like it smelled. That said, strangely enjoyable. aman1968 (1) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - MAY 29, 2013 does not count
Great beer overall. From a tap served in a Boulevard Smokestack glass. Aroma of mint, bourbon and a little earthiness. Slight sweet taste with a hint of alcohol. Nice creamy texture. Hope to see this beer again soon!
