COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Pours a cloudy orange color. About half finger white head. Little retention, very light lacing. Theres some white floaties in there.

Aroma is banana, some wheatiness. A touch of lemon and maybe honey. Smells okay, its just very light.

Taste is a little banana and yeast. Its slightly lemon. Theres a very slight touch of sour at the end. Theres not a lot of flavor.

Mouthfeel is light bodied. Easy to drink. Good lawnmower beer. Theres some slight graininess to the finish.

Overall, its okay. Im not super impressed by it. Its decent, one that I wouldnt mind having again, but not enough to actually buy it. Id probably suggest it to someone looking to try a wheat beer for the first time.

Originally rated on 9/12/08. Boulevard put out a decent wheat here, this is the third out of my sampler 12 pack. It pours a nice hazy golden yellow body, plenty of carbonation, without much lace. Aroma of wheat and hints of friuts. Smooth yet the carbination gives it a slight bite. Better than i thought it would be.

Bottle. Had this a few times and at first I though how boring, why couldnt I get the 80 acre with this variety pack, but after a couple I say its a good drink. Balanced, simple, sessionable and even some citrus. Ok, I say, ok.

Such a good hefeweizen. This is probably the most crisp hefeweizen I can remember drinking. It feels full upon sipping it, not hollow like so many other hefes that seem to be missing something substantial. Its very clear, too, and just tastes like something youd want to keep drinking.
