COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Bottle courtesy of Mike at Bon Vivant. Cloudy gold. Small white head. Nose is very citric (lemony) and wheat with light yeast and light floral hops. Maybe a touch of honey as well. Taste is wehat and semi-sweet with lemony notes and a light bit of honey. Light hop and yeast profile as well. Body is light and bubbly. Finishes with more lemon zest, light yeast, sweet malts, thinned hops, and faint honey.

Like Budweiser on a mission. I’m more a fan of the browns than the yellows, but if yellow’s your thing, then you’ll like this joker.

kramer (6905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2006
12 oz bottle, via KUEric. Pours a cloudy yellow with a fizzy two finger white head. Light grassy wheat aroma with just the lightest hints of bubblegum, cloves, and yeast. Fairly bland with a thin wheat flavor. Slightly spicy on the finish, mostly clove. Mouthfeel is thin, and for being unfiltered, is lacking in the chewiness that I crave from Wheat beers. An average American Wheat, and could be alot heartier.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2006
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale golden with a slight haze and a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Lightly tart aroma. Very light-bodied and dry with only the faintest touch of wheat. Lightly sulphurous. The finish is more dry than bitter. Yet another boring American wheat. 190306

There is something special about this beer that I cant put my finger on. I don’t usually like wheat beer due to somewhat bland non complex taste. This was is just so clean and refreshing I could drink it any day. Good beer.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Aromas of bread, some yeast, and a touch of citrus. Flavor has nice citrus taste, with yeasty notes. Nice clean finish.

Dorwart (2609) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - FEB 19, 2006
Large fluffy bright white head of fine bubbles. Decent carbonation. Clean aroma with lemon, wheat, citrus and a bit of yeast. Medium gold in color. Weak flavor but very refreshing. More citrus and wheat. Clean and dry finish. A decent wheat brew.

Great, refreshing beer on a hot summer day. Good taste, not too fruity. Swish the last inch before pouring and adding a slice of lemon.

ghawener (1614) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - FEB 5, 2006
Bottle: Light taste, faint traces of wheat by too watery for a real wheat, but overall OK.
