Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer is a lively, refreshing ale with a naturally citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. It is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration. This easy-drinking American-style wheat beer has become our most popular offering, and the best-selling craft beer in the Midwest. 2008 GABF gold medal winner in Session Beer category.

Yellow and cloudy with a white head that quickly exits. Smooth and slightly tangy. Definitely a hint of lemon. Not one that I care for in a bar, but might be tastier on a warm day.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2006 Pours a pale hazy yellow color with a large amount of billowing white head. Aroma is sweetened hay, citrus, banana. Flavor is light and citrusy yet sweet. Overall, very refreshing. One of my favorite wheats to date.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2006 A pale cloudy appearance with a frothy head. The aroma is of hay and lemon, has a light taste of wheat and lemon. It’s kinda fizzy, but it has a nice crisp sweetness. This stuff is common in KC; half the bars in town have it on tap and the rest have it in bottle. They just need to tone that carbo.

I have a problem with beer that looks like dirty water, but the brew came out on top with a good taste and a good smell.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2006 cloudy in appearance with a hint of lemon in this brew. this brew makes you feel like youre sword fighting on the top of a castle to save the lady that has captured your heart.

The head was spare and diminishing with a yellow color. It had an interesting flavor with no bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2005 very yellow, cloudy appearance. not much of a taste, guess the wheat stands out slightly with possible lemon overtone. carbonated, watery. rereated 12/20 to the same conclussion, actually bumped rating down a hair.

Bottle: Pale yellow, almost Wit-Bier like in color, cloudy, thin white fizzy head, falls quickly, spotty lacing, very light carbonation.   Slight citrus based wheaty aroma, a bit musty.   Dull lemony wheat based flavor.   Comes across as a Hefe light with a dash of lemon in it.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Lingering lemony aspect on the finish, but otherwise rather dull.   Needs to be a bit more filling.   Also seems a bit spritzy in the mouth.

Another common beer on tap around St. Louis. The place across from my hotel served it in a giant plastic cup - nice price for it, but c’mon, plastic? At our hotel, it seemed to go really well with the sushi. Nice herbal clove aroma, slight banana, not very citrus in the nose. Taste was smooth and citrus around the edges, lightly sweet, hints of lemon rind bitterness at the finish.

Bottle poured a cloudy yellow with a small but lasting white head. Aromas of bread dough, and a hint of citrus. Palate was light and crisp. Flavors of bread, and a bit of citrus with a crisp and refreshing finish.
