I feel this is one of the best IPA’s Iahve ever had. I have tried a lot of IPA’s in the bar I run and this one is bay far the best selling. Come to the Quarter Lounge in seattle Wa for a great deal on this awesome Beer. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2010
Draft at Brouwer’s. Great balance in this one. Crisp, refreshing hops offsetting just the right amount of caramel malts. Hop-forward, just as it should be - this is probably my favorite of the Brouwer’s anniversary brews thus far. Just how a good IPA should taste. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - MAR 2, 2010
Draft at Brouwer’s. Pours a clear amber with a touch of a orangish tint and a good looking light beige head that laces the glass pretty nicely. Nose has a good amount of bitter citrus zest along with some slight tropical sweetness. Malt is present, but quite subtle and rides nicely underneath the hop aromas. Wow, what a departure in taste from both their standard IPA and the DIPA. No where near as ’chewy’ and the malt acts more as a vessel for the hops. Has some flavor profile and looks that almost border on a hoppy red. Nice stuff. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAR 2, 2010
draft at brouwers fifth. pours a very slightly hazy dark amber with a loose white head, bits of stringy lace. big grapefruit and mixed tropical fruit nose. creamy medium body with plenty of lively carb. caramel, toast, grapefruit, and tropical fruit on the mid palate, with a lingering and fairly oily grapefruit and grapefruit rind finish. man, another really delectable ipa for brouwers fifth. people really pulled out the stops on these batches...be nice to see some of these slip into regular production.
