Bottle at home. Pours hazy dark brown with an coffee coloured head. Aroma of capsicum, light roast malt, chocolate, light smoke. Taste is milk chocolate, light roast, some smoke, paprika, moderate chilli. Medium bodied, above average carb, long lingering chilli burn finish. The chilli heat isn't overdone to my taste but it won't suit everyone Fin (10970) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2017
Keg at Thirsty, Cambridge, Sunday 7th May 2017 Pours black with a beige head, mostly rim. Warming, really warming, actually this is quite hot, but the base beer is still noticeable throughout offering up a little roastiness, like this. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6 themightyjag (624) - - APR 3, 2017
330ml bottle from Brewdog shop.
Small tan head, a little lacing. Dark black body. Spicy nose, malty chocolate. Flavour is milk chocolate then big chilli burn comes in and stays till the end, a little bitterness comes through and chocolate returns. Medium carbonation, silky mouthfeel. It's a great base porter but man it's spicy, not an easy drinker.

Bottle. A strong gusher. Pours dark brown with a beautifully colored, dark mocha head. Aroma is chocolate, oat, roast, slight smoke, some pepper. Taste is roast, surprising heat as had no idea it was a chili beer. Pepper, paprika, some oat, chocolate. Chipotle brings nice smokiness. Could be fuller to support the heat better. samdee (88) - Rennes, FRANCE - MAR 30, 2017
Black with a tan head. Smells chocolate and bourbon. Tastes of capsicum dark chocolate and coffee. Hot chili part explodes on the finish.

From bottle. Pours opaque black, light crema head. Nose of coffee, dark chocolate, chilli. Taste more of the same. AshtonMcCobb (6953) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 7, 2017
Bottle at Appellation Wines. Slight gusher.
Appearance - opaque black with a lovely drinking chocolate head.
Nose - dark chocolate and subtle chilli burn.
Taste - chilli getting hotter and hotter. The creamy milk chocolate does co-exist.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry spicy finish.
Overall - at least with this chilli beer, it does leave room for other flavours.
