COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
NZ Pure lager has a subdued malt backbone overlaid with a subtle hop character from the NZ Hallertau aroma hops used late in the boil. A refreshing easy drinking lager, perfect ice cold and straight from the bottle.

330mL bottle. Pours a golden lager wit ha short lasting white head. Looks ok in the glass. Weak aroma which is hard to make out. The beer is very thin, totally lacking in flavour, both malt and hops. This beer leaves an almost sticky aftertaste in your mouth. I struggled to finish the bottle after i drunk a few decent beers...

Rating #2411 - 2016.04.09 - Can from MLCC. Clear watery yellow pour with a moderate white foam, little retention. Aroma is skunky hops, grainy. Taste is barley, mild hoppy dryness, and overall fairly plain. Finish is a little rocky, astringent. Yikes.

Best beer ive tasted, cannot believe what im reading, how can some reviewers say it has no flavour, the taste is sublime, a wonderful summer beer, mind you ive only tried the bottle format... hence dig the twist tops, wondering if possible that some reviewers are confusing it with Steinlager Pure, which is not a pleasant drop! One problem though, they stopped stocking NZ Pure at Pak n Save Sylvia Park [mt wellington], which was kind of weird as it used to sell well, as often they would run out... also my local bottle shop doesnt stock, hence where can i buy it now?

440ml can. (4.7% ABV) Pours a clear pale yellow with a medium, short lived, fizzy, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of pale malt, grass and grain. Sweet flavour that matches aroma with a mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Ok as far as lagers go, just boring. Nothing sets it apart from any other lager out there.

Transparent pallid yellow with a relatively substantial sized white head. Impressive retention. Tepid aroma consisting of light corn and perhaps honey. Rather delicate texture and an extremely underwhelming, but frankly expected, flavour. Mild corn with a metallic finish. Absolutely not worthy of a subsequent taste.

440 ml can. Clear golden yellow, lasting firm white foam. Grassy sweet lager malt aroma and taste, vegetal, light skunk. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Disappointing effort from NZ. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Pint can pours a pale yellow/straw with a huge white head. Barley and malt aroma with some yeast and faded hops. Mildly sweet malt thats about it, enough body on the palate to remind me it isnt water. Not much flavor, crushable and non-offensive, I could and would drink a lot of these on a hot day.

I guess thisll bring down my New Zealand average. Well, anyway, pretty typical inoffensive lager. Slightly sweet grainy flavour. Nothing notable.

Bottle. Light straw-yellow with white foam. Aroma: malt and rice, some spicy hops. Taste: clean, refreshing, malty, slightly watery but drinkable.

440ml can. Clear yellow with a nice white cap. Nose has grass and grains. Clean taste, bit of grain and light grassy notes. Light bitterness and grass aftertaste. Light bodied. Nothing wrong with this really, just boring.

440ml can pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a grainy malt sweetness. A typical macro lager. Not good.
