Spiced? Would have said brown ale...a very good one. As a spiced beer not so much. Nuttiness is dominant. No finish. DandyWolfFloyd (1212) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2014
Aroma - nice aroma is caramel, nutty, and some vanilla
Appearance - body is amber; the beer really wants to shoot out the bottle, the head sets up fast at about 3/4" off-white head, but quickly ends up at nothing; there is a very small bit of nucleation
Taste - the beer is sweet; there is a caramel malt quality; a very subtle nuttiness; and some suggestion of vanilla -> but that comes off more as caramel
Palate - body is slightly above light; the texture somewhat of a slick syrupy quality; the carbonation is between average and flat; the finish is somewhat sweet and last for a short period
I really enjoyed Bourganel’s Nougat, I was hoping this would blow me away as well. It was ok, but very forgettable. If it tasted as good as it smelled it would have been a great beer. DJoer (1291) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 25, 2014

Nez aux senteurs de marron et de chocolat. Entrée de bouche caramélisée, ronde et douce. Fin de bouche très agréable, un peu salivante. Bière bien équilibré et légère, agréable.

Y’know, I wouldn’t know a chestnut if it hit me in the face. Clear bronze, no head. Sweet cigar tobacco andtannian aroma. Peaty, chewing tobaco, ceary flavor. Interesting. Medium ’clear’ body, dusty stogie finish. Off the beaten path, enjoyable French PA. On tap, Angel Trumpet, Phoenix AZ.
