Bottle of "Brimbel" from Terre De Boissons, Centre Commercial Cite Europe, Calais, France. Dark red-brown coloured with a thin white head. It has a sweet Blueberry and Nougat flavour with sweet red fruit on the finish. Ok.

Bouteille 33cl @ Niamey’s 3rd craft beer tasting. Merci Michel.

Many thanks to Melonie’s mom for bringing this bottle to me all the way from France! Deep red-orange-purple hue with a thick light pink head that leaves a curdled-cream chunky mattress. Sweet cooked berry aroma. The palate is also fruit-forward, with natural fieldberry flavour and minerally yeast. It is surprisingly low on sweetness and exceedingly exceedingly dry, with a perfumey vinous finish. Much better than expected.

Color is a deep purple-brown with minimal lacing, some carbonation and visible sediment. Smell is red wine, stone fruit, blackberry jam. Taste is very fruity, kind of sweet. Body is watery and flat, sort of like an ordinary macrolager with fruit jam. Not horrible, but life is too short to drink mediocre beer.

Aroma - dried blueberry, cherry Cavendish tobacco juice aroma, and caramel Appearance - clean chestnut body, with an off-white head that has a pink tone to it. Sudsy lacing. Taste - gentle blackberry like taste. I’m not sure if that is what bilberry is similar to, but that is how this tastes. Subtle caramel. Palate - light body, thin texture, average carbonation, light fruity dry finish. Very delicate.

Nulle

12 ounce bottle. Pours with almost no carbonation. Sticky sweet. Syrup. Ugh.

Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Wow, my second Radler in a few days. Pours turbid magenta with pink head. Nose is heavy raspberry, strawberry. Tastes rich, with big notes of raspberry, strawberry, earthiness. Smooth finish, some champagney yeast. This is a solid fruit beer, and transcends the beer/wine boundary with aplomb.
