What a nice surprise. Much darker then first anticipated. With a hint of sweetness. Lovely to sip on.

ALLOVATE (3002) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 29, 2016
Tried this one back in September 2013, and I must admit I remember enjoying it quite a lot.
Notes:-
Radiant mahogany body with a big and lasting, rocky beige foam that laces well. Nose is plump and thick and displays savoury fruit mince, tart berries, madeira, oak and choc toffee. Tart with a juicy, dark berry sweetness to the front. Well rounded with a lightly husky malt and stale hop roughage late giving it a soft to moderate bitterness. Woody, dry and tart finish with a vinous astringency. Lasting carob and Shiraz flavour lingers long on the tongue. Quite lively on the palate but with a firmness that gives it more body and presence. Overall balanced between sweet and tart, and medial on complexity. Drinks superbly for an Oud Bruin. Enjoyable!! (75cL, BB 04/10/14)

seuinoz (255) - Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA - SEP 21, 2016
Oak in the aroma with some sweet candy. Dark ruby red in color with a quick dissipating head. Some oak and sour and a little watered down in the taste. Doesn’t sit well on the palate. Overall impression is not good.

Marko (5596) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 15, 2016
Harat’s Zagreb, bottle. Misty brown-red body with a slightly off white head. Light off white head. Very light tart and fruity notes in the aroma. Taste... eh, grape juice, maltiness, medium carbonation, actually more on the sweet side. Not terrible, but quite basic and for "beginners". The "faro" among the Flanders Reds.

Ysok02 (1518) - Mons, BELGIUM - SEP 13, 2016
Robe brune, fine mousse. Nez typé mais peu complexe, cerise acidulée, bois, légère note balsamique. Bouche à l’attaque fruitée, fine acidité mais un manque de tension et de complexité pour ce type de produit. Basique et sans grand intéret

Lonick (1864) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2016
Keg @ Six North Opening Night. Pours dark brown, beige head. Nose is very similar to coca-cola also fruity, toffee and caramel. taste is as the nose but with a sour finish, the more i drank it the more i got a big raisin note to the taste.

DwarfeD (3442) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - SEP 9, 2016
Draught at Kafé Van Zanten, Amersfoort. Hazy dark brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice sweet and subtle sour tones. Caramel, raisin, ripe dark fruits, berries and brown sugar. Quite OK.

Fruktig, stor sötma, viss syrlighet, bra balans, fin beska. Gott!

3.2
nathanvc (444) - Brugge, BELGIUM - AUG 30, 2016
Pours clear and dark brown/amber a medium off-white head. The aroma contains fruits, caramel, bread, wine, yeast. It tastes medium sweet and light sour leading to a long sweet-sour finish that is not very sharp. Medium body, soft carbonation and oily texture.
