25 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/amber with a dense light brown head. Mellow caramel malty and slight fruity. Flavour is slight sour and sweet malty. Seems a bit out of balance. Ends mixed sweet and sour, but only mildly sour. Nice though.

Ungstrup (39079) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2010
Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruits, and nuts, as well as lighter notes of brettanomyces. The flavor is malt, alcohol, wood, fruits, and metal, as well as lighter notes of brettanomyces, leading to a tart woody finish.
Earlier Rating: 5/14/2003 Total Score: 3
A deep red beer with no head. The aroma is slightly sweet and sharp. The flavor is very round, very sweet, and slighlty acidic with notes of berries. A fine flavor but not anything special. OK beer - but my exspectation was higher.

Bottle. Red brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of malts, caramel and red wine. Flavour of red wine and caramel. No hints of the oak-maturing. Unbalanced, not the best flemish sour ale.

Tap at the source. Cloudy ruby red color, fluffy beige head. Aroma of chestnuts, candy, oak. Taste is like a sweetened Rodenbach. OK.
Earlier Rating: 3/13/2010 Total Score: 3.9
Bottle at Brugse Beertje. Dark reddish brown, large fluffy tan head with massive lacing. Aroma of caramel and cocoa nibs, smoke. Starts sweet, sour middle. Has character and complexity.

a Dark colored ale, with a sour fruity malt , its was ok but looked like it might age well.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 9, 2006
Bottled. Rubyish copper colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is raisins, plum, burnt sugar and caramel malts. Flavour is burnt sugar, slightly metal and hops. Slightly watery, otherwise good brew. It was more supersweet than sour in my opinion.... only in the finish it had some weak sourness to it.

omhper (26030) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2003
Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Dark reddish brown. Big cherry aroma. Sweet, yet acidic and very vinuous. Medium bodied, with a slight note of oak. the finish is an orgie in berry flavour; raspberries, cherries, blueberries, you name it...

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small off-white head. Tart cherry aroma - quite yummy. Medium body, very sweet roasted malts, a discreet tartness, woody and metallic - clearly some Bourgogne has been blended with another beer here. Ends sweet. 280710

(Bottle 25 cl) I was expecting a reddish brown beer with a sharp acidic touch. But what found was rather full-bodied, sweetish and malty - almost like Danish "hvidtøl". And although I do detect some slightly tart notes, they’re far from aggressive. A very mellow, pleasant sour ale. 080195

Bottle from random beer shop in Bruges. Clear dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, berries and wood. Flavor is quite sweet and slightly acidic. Sweet finish. 221212
