Formerly known as Vanilla Porter. Renamed in 2009.
Dark brown in colour, with a subtle vanilla aroma. The vanilla sweetness contrasts nicely with the slight bitterness from the roasted barley and chocolate malts

Aroma: Vanilla, roastiness, milk chocolate. Appearance: Dark ruby color, low head, dense, lacing, not very durable. Taste: Bit watery, chocolate with vanilla, some roastiness, rather flat, medium low herbal bitterness, very sweet, bit of soap-like feeling. Palate: Finish is sweet, carbonation is medium low,

GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 14, 2015
Dark brown/black with a nice creamy off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, caramel. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, lightly sweet on the palate with a subtle hint of balancing bitterness, and a slightly thin finish. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, lightly roasted malts. Not bad

w_adwersarz (435) - Cracow, POLAND - SEP 13, 2015
Piana w miarę obfita, drobnopęcherzykowa, prawie jak azot, zwarta, w miarę długo się utrzymuje, kremowa na powierzchni. Barwa brązowa, opalizująca, ładnie pracuje, prześwity w kolorze coś pomiędzy mocną herbatą a cocacolą. Aromat trochę palony, waniliowy, słodki jakby melanoidynowy, odrobina gorzkiej czekolady. W smaku podobnie, palony, słodki waniliowy, trochę czekolady gorzkiej. Wysycenie średnie, wytrawne, dość gładko wchodzi, goryczka niewielka z waniliowym finiszem.

Swaroga (2213) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 7, 2015
It’s dark brown and we can easy see through it. The head is small but lasts and has a creamy colour. Aroma is milk chocolate, orange and vanilla. Flavour has a strong vanilla background, good chocolate back bone yet it is watered down and makes this beer easy to drink. In this case it isn’t destroying the beer since its still quite rich and enjoyable. That’s a proper pint.

StueyD (1582) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2015
A dark reddish brown coloured beer with a frothy but weak off white head. A strong woody vanilla aroma, some caramel malt as well. Medium dry mouthfeel. An interesting combination of smooth and slightly sweet vanilla, with a bitter pithy hop flavour and a background of dry biscuity malt, ensures a well rounded and balanced finish. Bottle from Lidl, Fakenham.
