Clear dark brown color with a fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, milk chocolate, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. 
From cask. Pours pitch black with a small off white to tan head. Aroma is vanilla and roasted malty. Smooth roasted malty, vanilla and light chocolate. Subdued bitter and toasted malty finish. Ends medium dry malty and vanilla.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Not much carbonation. Mild dark malts with a little powdery dark chocolate. Touch of dark fruits. Light finish. Bit thin but it tastes okay.
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, sehr süß schokoladig.

Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Pours rich brown with a thick, big tan froth head. Roast and milk chocolate in the nose. Light sweet flavor with more simple chocolate, light dried fruits, earth. Light in body with soft carbonation. Basic finish with some burnt earth and cocoa. Fine, easy.
