Clear dark brown color with a fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, milk chocolate, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090717]

Cask. Quite near black (deep ruby murky brown colour), small beige head. Aroma is wood, roast, vanilla and some ashes. Flavour is roast, ashes, vanilla, some wood as well as some dark dry fruits. Very nice for being only 4.5 % abv.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Not much carbonation. Mild dark malts with a little powdery dark chocolate. Touch of dark fruits. Light finish. Bit thin but it tastes okay.
