UPDATED: OCT 9, 2012 500 mL Bottle. Dark brown body with a small but tenacious creamy beige head leaving a "set of ribs" on the glass as it is sipped. Sweet aroma of malts with notes of caramel, coffee, and brown sugar, an accent of spicy hops, and a note of vanilla -like Wow! Check it out! Full smooth flavor of sweet and roasted malts, pronounced notes of coffee, treacle and caramel, yet refreshing in its own way. A nice little creamy hop bitter in the aftertaste with an interesting bitter-peppery-creamy finish. A gorgeous example of beer perfection. Delicious! tayll85 (15) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2014

Served in a Teku glass from a 500ml bottle. Pours extremely dark ruby-brown colour with a medium beige head. Aroma is smoke, dark fruits, malt, prunes, roasted malts, hint of vanilla. Taste is clear vanilla, caramel, chocolate, roasted malts, bitter-sweet with slight bitter aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Extremely nice and complex porter! chrisparf (3) - Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2009 does not count
A splendid quaff-able Porter that leaves you wanting a lot more. The vanilla and chocolate are well balanced in this beer. JesseM (1158) - Margaritaville, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 14, 2011
500mL bottle from the Lickbow. Pours a clear dark amberish-brown, with a large tan head. Aroma is really nice, chocolate upfront with some faint figs in the background, as well as vanilla. Flavour hits right away with some sweet choco-malt, mocha, smoke, hickory, and mild vanilla. Everything blends well and ends sweetly on the palate with lingering notes of the delicious characters I’ve described already. Subtle hints of nuts and toasted malts. Body is medium, seems spot-on for a traditional Porter character. Over-all an awesome beer, I’m very glad to see this one included by the LCBO for the Fall Seasonal release.

500 ml. bottle split by 2 @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Pours very dark wooden brown with lots of mocha bubbles for a head. Smell of sweet chocolate bubblegum, chocolate syrup, mocha, chocolate, simple & sweet but very enjoyable and the same really goes for the taste. Tastes like mocha, sweet milk chocolate, chocolate bubblegum, lots of chocolate syrup, sugar, cocoa, huge vanilla, this is like drinking chocolate milk (incl. body), simple, easy & very enjoyable. Trés bonne porter, léger houblon mi-amère avec une finalitée vanille & pointe de moka. Hammy78 (973) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle purchased at the Dundurn LBCO in Hamilton Ontario. Pours a dark cola like colour, small white head and little spots of lacing here and there. Aroma is malty and almost like chocolate milk. Taste is malty and the consistency of like a hot chocolate powder. A little bitter. Nice mouth feel. Boutip (6312) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 8, 2011
Bottle: Poured a clear dark black color porter with a large slightly off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry coffee with nice vanilla notes. Taste is a great balanced mix between some light roasted malt notes with light dry coffee with no astringency and some lactose notes with perfect notes of vanilla. Body is bit thin but considering the ABV that could be expected with good carbonation. Very well brewed with great complexity while retaining good drinkability factor.
