Cask @ Cross Inn, Heptonstall. Golden-blond with a thin head. Some hops and slighlty floral with countryside fruits evident. Has a medium-small bitterness.

500ml bottle (BBE March 2015). ABV now 3.8%. Bright golden with a decent foamy white head that provides a firm lace. Nose and tongue of light cereal golden malts with a light hay hop presence and a refreshing bitterness. Low carbonation and body making for easy session drinking. Another enjoyable English real ale (can't get enough of them!). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden with an off white foam. Aromas are cereal grain with yeast and light lemon. Flavours are corn and grain with bready yeast. Bittersweet lemon with grassy notes on the finish. OK.

Taste follows, pale malts, caramel, light citrus. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Bog standard bitter - file under ’W’ !
