0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Very clear coppery pour with quite a bit of clingy lacy head. Scent is not good. It smells like stale beer. Like walking into a bar near the university that obviously hasn’t been cleaned nearly enough. No seriously this is not a good smell. This is what your pants smell like the morning after a night with much spillage. It’s the smell you hope isn’t on you when you are driving home after having more than you should. Yeah this is off to a good start. The taste is better than that scent. Well I think so. This doesn’t really have a taste. It’s all aftertaste. Going down it’s wet. Then you get hit by an aftertaste of sweet malts, a touch of caramel. But not that good, hey my porter has a nice sweet tone to it, but in the why does this beer suddenly have a sweet aftertaste kind of way. Yeah, good beer this is not. I’m amazed this has only like 6 ratings and I have to assume this is due to the face some people follow the "if you can’t say anything nice" rule still.
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2017 I love craft beer but I’m also a sucker for cheap beer. Saw this at my local distributor for 14.99 for 36 cans. Yes 36 cans. 5.5% ABV. Pours clear with no head and a neutral smell. Sweet taste with no after taste. Perfect beer for watching football and getting a buzz on. crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2017
355ml can. Basic minhas ice beer, inoffensive to a point, cheaper than any rival in price. Luneylane (263) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - JUN 21, 2017
My mission to drink all the lesser-known mass market light ales down at Simplemart continues. This one tastes of corn and has no life in it. wlajwl (7201) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 24, 2017
Aroma and flavor is sweetish corn/malts, an odd but expected off funk and tart finish. Not much in the way of flavor at all apart from the off funk. Strangebrewer (1372) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 28, 2016
can. Poured clear yellow with a scant white head. Sweet grainy aroma. Light body, high carbonation, prickly mouthfeel. Corn grain generic flavour, sweetish with a slightly peppery note.

Pour is dark yellow, a lightning fast head and light carbonation. smell is barely there: sweet abstract corn and funky earth? Taste is barely there, again abstract sweetness, sweetened palate that fades quicker than the head. This doesn’t taste like anything! heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUL 10, 2015
Can. Medium gold colored body with a barely perceptible white head. Nose is super sweet white cake like with hints of corn. This tastes like over sugared corn flakes with a green apple finish. It is a little bit metallic and just disgustingly sweet. The only difference between this and a malt liquor is the lack of a boozy bite. Bleh, this is horrendous. UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 $11.99 for 36. Fairly typical swill appearance. Smells of sweetness, metallic notes and corn. Tastes sweet... like racing fuel bubble gum additive smells and mouthfeel is surprisingly harsh, but not overly so. Effectively, it is the epitome of ice beer. Sickboy92 (2) - Midwest City, Oklahoma, USA - DEC 10, 2013 does not count
This was my first ice beer. I can’t say too much about it. It was drinkable, it really was. It doesn’t come close to most, but on a budget it’s the best you’ll come by. It’s pretty much a typical beer. Very hard to find in the bible belt. Patrickctenchi (6806) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 8, 2013
24 oz. can:
Slightly hazed gold with a frothy, off-white head.
Lemony-sweet grain malt aroma.
Ridiculously sweet flavor.
Sugary, corny, grain malt, aluminum.
Awful.... and OH! Look! Minhas had a hand in this....what a surprise...
Just bad, bad, bad...
I hope my $1.38 for this enables them to buy a helpful brewer’s guide or a can of neon spray paint to tag, "CLOSED" on the side of their building.....
Sorry, that’s harsh...but damn.....their stuff is terrible.
