Boxer ice is drastically better than boxer lager, and it is not a bad beer for the price.

Aroma and flavor is sweetish corn/malts, an odd but expected off funk and tart finish. Not much in the way of flavor at all apart from the off funk.

can. Poured clear yellow with a scant white head. Sweet grainy aroma. Light body, high carbonation, prickly mouthfeel. Corn grain generic flavour, sweetish with a slightly peppery note.

Pour is dark yellow, a lightning fast head and light carbonation. smell is barely there: sweet abstract corn and funky earth? Taste is barely there, again abstract sweetness, sweetened palate that fades quicker than the head. This doesnt taste like anything!

Can. Medium gold colored body with a barely perceptible white head. Nose is super sweet white cake like with hints of corn. This tastes like over sugared corn flakes with a green apple finish. It is a little bit metallic and just disgustingly sweet. The only difference between this and a malt liquor is the lack of a boozy bite. Bleh, this is horrendous.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 $11.99 for 36. Fairly typical swill appearance. Smells of sweetness, metallic notes and corn. Tastes sweet... like racing fuel bubble gum additive smells and mouthfeel is surprisingly harsh, but not overly so. Effectively, it is the epitome of ice beer.

This was my first ice beer. I cant say too much about it. It was drinkable, it really was. It doesnt come close to most, but on a budget its the best youll come by. Its pretty much a typical beer. Very hard to find in the bible belt.

24 oz. can: Slightly hazed gold with a frothy, off-white head. Lemony-sweet grain malt aroma. Ridiculously sweet flavor. Sugary, corny, grain malt, aluminum. Awful.... and OH! Look! Minhas had a hand in this....what a surprise... Just bad, bad, bad... I hope my $1.38 for this enables them to buy a helpful brewers guide or a can of neon spray paint to tag, "CLOSED" on the side of their building..... Sorry, thats harsh...but damn.....their stuff is terrible.

Second cheap Ice beer today in cans (the other being the Keystone Ice). Pours a little more golden than the other. Head is way better as well - way more retention and some lacing everywhere. Aromas of malts, adjuncts and hints of honey. Again, better scent, but where this one goes wrong is the taste. Sweet malty mouth with some more adjuncts and then, the same club soda feel. So, a better looking beer, but the taste kind of does not sit well in the stomach. The Keystone is easier going down.

Very clear coppery pour with quite a bit of clingy lacy head. Scent is not good. It smells like stale beer. Like walking into a bar near the university that obviously hasnt been cleaned nearly enough. No seriously this is not a good smell. This is what your pants smell like the morning after a night with much spillage. Its the smell you hope isnt on you when you are driving home after having more than you should. Yeah this is off to a good start. The taste is better than that scent. Well I think so. This doesnt really have a taste. Its all aftertaste. Going down its wet. Then you get hit by an aftertaste of sweet malts, a touch of caramel. But not that good, hey my porter has a nice sweet tone to it, but in the why does this beer suddenly have a sweet aftertaste kind of way. Yeah, good beer this is not. Im amazed this has only like 6 ratings and I have to assume this is due to the face some people follow the "if you cant say anything nice" rule still.
