2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the brew pub. This was the most disappointing of the beers I had there. It has little flavor up front. After awhile some heavy roasted malt shows up and leaves a bitter aftertaste on the tongue. I generally like this style a lot, but this beer didn’t do it for me.
Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. A jet black caramel brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head, Aroma is spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, soft roast and caramel. Flavour is composed of spicy coffee bean, salty roast, spicy bell pepper. Palate is full bodied, spicy, moderate carbonation, salted caramel. Nice! djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 8, 2017

I am drinking this beer at the Boxing Cat.It is simply a great beer, in my opinion. The body is black and strong, brown and white foam. The carbonation is regular for an imperial stout. The taste is well balanced, vanilla, roasted malt, licor of whisky, alcohol but it is overall really pleasant. sunevdj (4143) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - APR 23, 2016

Poured up on tap at RBWG16 where it exhibits a nice inky black body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up burnt chocolate brownies, dark roasted malts and then chocolate bar toward the end of the draw. Nice! The taste is similar as I get dark roasted to burnt malts and then a chocolate brownie sensation. Wow, this is smooth and rich and deep. Terrific sipper.
