A nicely colored dark brew. Malty with chocolate with just a little bitter chocolate. Didn’t any coffee which I was expecting. I like Bozeman, I like Montana, and I like this porter...just not that much. The porter...not Bozeman Montana. :) MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - FEB 19, 2017
On tap at the Snow Lodge at Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park, WY.
Opaque, near black with a thin khaki head and fair lacing.
Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee and dark fruit.
Taste of roasted coffee, roasted malt, caramel, hops and dark fruit.
Medium body and medium carbonation.

12 oz. can. Black color, with ruby highlights, and a small, foamy, khaki head. The nose is initially vanilla pudding and cocoa. Underlying notes of dark roast coffee and spruce. Sweet and very malty, with an earthy bitterness that lingers. Medium to heavy body, with a chalky, sharp mouthfeel. This is a nicely roasty porter; aggressive, but not abrasive. smroush (281) - Michigan, USA - OCT 20, 2016
Aromas of caramel and grain; not much hop presence. There is a generalized bitterness, but it’s fairly indistinct in terms of specific hop flavors.
Black in color.
Taste is slightly sweet; bitterness is moderate. There is just a slight harshness to the taste.
Body is medium; texture oily; carbonation is just slightly lively. Finish is average to a bit long.
Overall a fairly simple beer; ok, but not a lot of complexity or interest. NachlamSie (3483) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 25, 2016
Six pack from the Bozeman airport. Solid, dark appearnace. looks like a porter. Malty, obviously. It’s heavy on the chocolate and caramel notes. The palate is medium heavy. Flavor is pretty sharp, a little astringent even. Notes of nutshells, caramel, chocolate, gas station coffee. Finishes ashy. It got better as it warmed.

Less roasted malt and coffee than in an average Porter, but pleasantly heavy on the caramel, with complements chocolate. Lower on the abv spectrum, but not flavor or body. Beerandhockey8 (403) - Three Forks, Montana, USA - AUG 2, 2015
From 12oz can to shaker. Pour is a dark brown, cola colored. Nose is roasted malt, caramel, slight coffee, light hop. Taste is mostly bitter, medium body. Finishes dry on the palate.

APPEARANCE ? perfect blackness, light beige head.
NOSE ? great coffee notes backed by some malty sweetness.
FLAVOR ? backs up the great scents well. Solid porter, almost approaching a stout level of roastiness and depth.

12 oz pour from a refrigerated can into a shaker pint. Black and opaque with a solid tan head. Very chocolatey nose. Sweet, milky, caramel aromas as well. Taste reflects the nose, but with the milky caramel flavors coming through even stronger. Great balance of sweet and dry. One of the best sweet porters I’ve yet had. barbarino2000 (90) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAY 10, 2015
Spirited, without the heavy or gritty feeling some porters come with. I'd drink it in a pinch, but not my top porter.
