hrabren (1163) - Zagreb, - DEC 25, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2015 A special Croatian winter beer in a 0.5 l bottle. It has a different label each year, and this year it was designed by a young Croatian painter Mladen Donadini. It pours a white head that fades quickly. Pale golden color, carbonated. A hoppy aroma with some flower notes. Flavor is lightly bitter, hoppy, with almost no aftertaste at all. Watery palate. Although this beer is a bit better than an average European lager, it is still not as good as most people regard it.

Clear golden colour, minimal white head. Medium to high carbonation, medium body and pretty sweet finish. A bit different from their standard stuff. Not bad.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour with one finger soapy white head. Poor head retention, no lacing. Nose dominated by corn, slightly sugary. Medium body, softly carbonated. Somewhat oily texture. Taste is mostly bitter, metallic, unpleasant. Aroma of corn, grains, sugar, corn syrup, cardboard. Strong metallic acidity. Lasting bitter finish. Overall, a tough one to swallow. Quite poor.

klukas (248) - Rijeka, CROATIA - DEC 3, 2016
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a lager glass. Appearance: Deep golden colour, with small/short-lived head. Aroma: Grains, maybe malt, hops. Palate: Medium body, medium/high carbonation. Taste: Combination of sweetness and bitterness; malt. Overall impression: Quite good, better than “regular” Ozujsko, but still it is far from some other great beers.

Probably the best beer in the whole assortiman of the Zagrebačka pivovara brewery. If you have to choose what to drink in Zagreb, that’s the one.

Golden colour with almost no off-white head. Aroma of hops, herbs, some spices. Similar are flavours, with medium body, low carbonation and bitterness. Drinkable.

Bottled, small foam, clear golden colour. Strong aroma of hops, taste is light bitter, not bitter as I used to from Ožujsko. Quite appealing drink.

azzie (822) - Pula, CROATIA - JAN 6, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2015 Plastic bottle 2l. Clear golden liquid. Medium to light body. Medium to heavy carbonation. Some fruits and honey in taste. Not bad. Re-rate (2015) - Bottle 0.5l. Smell like wet straw, dried out, toasted and left at the rain for a week. A bit too sweet with some acid. Drinkable but not good as previous one.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a decent white frothy head. Malty aroma, quite some notes of grains and grass. Taste is sweet and malty, also grainy. Hints of alcohol, finishing with a decent bitterness. Slightly better than the regular one.
