Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield, UK. Medium copper, spiced caramel aroma. Heavy hop bitterness on the palate, metallic aftertaste. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2011
Cask conditioned handpump Lamplighter Northampton. A brown beer with a whitish head and lacing. A chewy fruity malty beer. Earthy and leafy hops. Sweet notes. Old fashioned and ok but sadly served too warm. imdownthepub (14744) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2008
Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Brown red with white head. I have to say that this is an older type bitter, fuller bodied than most current beers, quite flowery, dusty hops, spicy. Really quite decent. harrisoni (18807) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2008
Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre April Fest 08. Reddish copper colour. Quite a perfumed aroma. That’s a pretty tasty perfumed bitter. Decent hop, bit of white pepper. Good and tasty.
