Best Malzbier in Brazil. Malzbier, in Brazil, means a dark e sweet beer so, if you don´t like sweet beers, don´t spend your money in a brazilian malzbier.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Several bottles of this in Rio and other parts of Brazil. I tried getting other people enthused but I wasn’t thanked! Ha! Very sweet dark beer. Lots of sweet dark malt and soft palate. Found this went well with the salty spicy Churrasco meat.

355ml bottle-pours a rich tan head and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt-molasses, dark fruit-raisin/prune. Taste is sweet rich dark malt-molasses, dark fruit-raisin/prune. Soft carbonation. Towards full body with a syrupy mouth feel. Nice. Interesting.

Bottle in Brazil - So "Malzbier" in Germany is a special beer style, and not to compare with a Schwarzbier. Malzbier usually is very sweet, and mostly sold without any alcohol. So, when I drunk this Brahma Malzbier, I was quite happy to find a Malzbier with %. It is very sweet indeed, lemonade-like, but still according to style. it lacks a bit roundness, alcohol taste is a bit too dominant. good and refreshing though.
