Tried at the Bowl Inn Almondsbury. Sold rebadged for the Bowl Inn. Amber colour with a white had. Aroma is mainly malty with a touch of citrus. Taste light sweet, body a touch thin. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2015
2015-09-18. Crisp amber body with a small white head. Aroma is mild with notes of caramel and malt. Flavour is muted light malt and bitterness. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable but not a lot to say about it. On cask at Beefeaters, Newport, Wales. bhensonb (15083) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 29, 2015
Cask at The City Arms in Cardiff. Pours clear copper/beige head. Aroma of mild malt/caramel. Near med body. Flavor is mild, slightly bitter; caramel, maybe floral hop. Not much, if any, spice. Easy drinker for sure. Sigmund (7390) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 11, 2015
Cask half pint at The Cottage, Cardiff, as Brains Original Cask Bitter. ABV is 3.7%. Deep golden to amber colour, small white head. Moderate malty aroma, notes of toffee. Moderately malty flavour, not sweet, a slight fruitiness, "clean" and refreshing. pecksheeh (20) - IRELAND - DEC 5, 2014
From summer trip. Amber with nice white head. Malts to the fore both aroma and taste. Easy drink.

Settles a clear honey with a head like the polar ice caps - fades to nothing with time. You will struggle to pull through the flavours but there are whispers of hops. Smooth but watery to the taste with a wave of coffee and hints of caramelised nuts. Comes alive on the palate although not as bitter as most. Easy to drink but lacks character. Hand-pulled pint in The Pheasant, Wellington, the Ironbridge/Wrekin brewery tap/brewpub on 25th July 2014. Very different to the bottled version, or at least it seemed it to me: lighter and more citrus notes in both the aroma and taste. Still enough Malt in the brew to give it a semblance of sweetness but this is a hoppier beer all round. Still liked it. miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - JUN 17, 2014

Cask at Staff House, University of Birmingham. Perfectly fine chestnut bitter with a woody bitter aftertaste. Good for the relatively low ABV. Fine session ale, not much more.
