2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2015
March, 2013 330ml dark bottle from Morrisons. A soft, clean and drinkable beer. Mildly fragrant and perfumed, but this is a British Golden Ale not an APA. Quite forgettable really, but inoffensive and drinkable. [2.8]
June, 2015 330ml brown bottle, filtered, from Tesco. An odd marriage of a British golden ale and an American Pale Ale, at a higher abv than either usually are (more suited to the aspiration of an IPA). There’s an earthy grittiness about this which reveals its British origin and style. The hops are pleasantly used to flavour rather than assault or impress, though even then are a tad too dominating over the malt for my taste. This is a short lived beer, which doesn’t live up to its strength, and under performs in other areas as well. The most appealing aspect is the roughness. [2.9]
330ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is peaches, floral notes, butter. Taste is sweet, peaches, citrus, light bitterness. Just weird. fajry (2250) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 29, 2017

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2017 was originally 6.5% when if not stand out it was certainly drinkable. I note it's now down to 5% as Brains continues its apparently relentless race to the bottom nybol (2346) - DENMARK - SEP 11, 2017
En rigtig fin humle! Noget af det bedste jeg længe har smagt af humle. Godt lavet. AllGrainChamp3 (6) - Stockport, Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2017 does not count
According to the label on the bottle "...this India Pale Ale was inspired by the 'IPA revolution' across the pond." Also that a "...trio of hops from the US..." has been used and that the ale "...is bursting with citrus aromas."
Unfortunately it does not smell or taste really much different to your old fashioned, common variety bland cheap IPA. I don't really get much citrus or the bitter tang of extra 'hoppiness' you might associate with an American style IPA. It is certainly drinkable, but doesn't live up to its own hype and is nothing special what-so-ever.

Pours dark yellow and fizzy, minimal head that fades very quickly. Taste is harsh and peppery, very grainy and very claggy in the mouth. Despite the "trio" of hops this doesn’t taste very hoppy at all and I would not identify it as IPA but a badly made concoction by an amateur brewer. varanid99 (1338) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 14, 2017
Gold pour with a thin white head. Not overly hoppy, floral, caramel, biscuity aromas. Taste is grainy, caramel, citrus, a little bitterness but it is missing balance (and flavour). A bit ordinary vinivini (2991) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUN 28, 2017
Bottle. Clear light amber pour, small well-lacing head. Aroma: floral hops, buscuit malts, honey. Medium body. Medium dry flavour. Floral and grassy light to medium bitterness. An earthy touch. Short hoppy ending. Just OK. Finn (8149) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2017
Fra keg på Cambrian Tap Cardiff 2 Mai 17. Gylden. Lavt skum som daler sakte. Lett karamellaroma. Smaken lett fruktig. Syrlig avslutning. budedou (1046) - Saint Etienne, FRANCE - MAY 29, 2017
Nose is citrus, grapefruit, grain, tangerine. Taste is tangerine, malts, fruity hops, citrus. Cant say what it lacks but somehow a bit lame. Also quite watery for the abv.
