Draft @ The Wellington, Brecon. Black with a very small head. Aroma of roasted malts.
Taste is roasted malts with a hint of chocolate and liquorice. Very creamy mouthfeel but watery. Smooth. Low carbonation. All in all a very mild taste experience but what else to expect from a Mild? Nice and super duper sessionable. john44 (3456) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2017

A classic dark mild, it’s difficult to find outside Cardiff city centre, but worth sampling if you can find it. jercraigs (11071) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2015

Black tea, tarry burnt caramel, and blackberry aroma. Dark, ruby tints. Small tight tan head. Soft palate, carbonation low. Rich caramelly burnt body. Easy drinker, but almost keggy in feel.
Really enjoyed the bottled version, so when I saw the Brain’s Brewery Bar at the Peterborough Beer Festival on 26th Aug 2015 I tried a half-pint of the cask one. Very pleasant, dark brown with a good head on the hand-pulled beer. Malty and semi-sweet in nature this is a true classic Mild in my eyes and I really enjoyed my half.
