(bottle - 500 ml) Clear orange pour with a thin white head. Lightly sweet and spicy aroma, but very faint. Bitter hops at the start that move to a dry and bitter grassy middle. Lightly sweet and malty on the finish. Lingering bitter aftertaste. SudsMcDuff (8462) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 14, 2013

Cask at the Old Gaolhouse (JDW), Winchester. Golden amber with a thin cream head that leaves lots of lacing; sweet malty aroma; soft, grainy malt taste; with a decent bitterness to finish and an aftertaste of digestive biscuit. A better than average brown bitter. mr_h (5720) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - DEC 22, 2012
Cask by handpump at West Kirk, Ayr - clear amber, frothy off-white head, spicy, malty, some fruit, caramel, watery, oily feel BlackHaddock (7515) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2012
Hand-pulled pint on 11 Dec 2012 in my local Wetherspoons.
Mid-amber to copper coloured body with a good off-white head that stayed the distance and gave some heavy lacing on my glass.
Semi-sweet malty brew with hints of winter extras added: traces of spices and nuts, some fruitiness and grain in there somewhere too. It beat the socks off the other two Christmas offerings available that night (Lymestone Pudding Stone and Thwaites Good Elf) for the wintery feel and flavours it had.
I was on a mission, so couldn’t have another: pity.

Cask (handpump) @ The Masque Haunt - JDW, 168-172 Old Street, Old Street, Greater London, England EC1V 9BP.
Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, spices, toffee, light hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spices, warm malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Has a light, fruity aroma. At first a little sharpness but that gives way to a drier and slightly nutty finish.
