[Gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Toffee and fruity malt with just the right amount of bitterness. Nothing unusual here, but Brains do seem to do these sort of ales very well - good stuff! bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2010
Hand pulled cask at JDW Harrow on the hill. Amber/gold with a thin white head. Malty best bitter with more caramel in it’s flavour than the colour would lead you to expect. Would have liked a few more hops, but overall this is pretty much what I expected. (Yawn)! berkshirejohn (6687) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2010

JDW Spring Fest - Rochester. A very drinkable and attractive ale. Caramel notes. Good juicy residual sweetness. This is a lovely malt character with a nicely balanced and well integrated hop character. A bit jammy, and OK for it. Blackberry and black cherry notes. Lovely. I could drink this stuff all day.
