A really nice stout. Roasted malts in the nose, perhaps a hint of chocolate. Dark, dark brown pour with a rocky tan head. Solid chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee flavor profile. Some bittering at the end. My only complaint would be is that it is a bit thin on the palate, otherwise very drinkable. Weefannybaws (130) - Barrhead, SCOTLAND - AUG 10, 2013
500ml bottle from Tesco. Black, black, black. Slight chocolate nose. Malty, chocolate taste with tobacco overtones. Perfect accompaniment to crisps and nuts. Philym (1003) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2013

Aroma: Coffee, balsamic, bread crust, subtle toffee, slight liquorice and floral.
Taste: Low sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, slight toffee, bready, dry with roasty/burnt notes.
Palate: Smooth thick texture and mouthfeel, medium body, average carbonation, dry with abrupt finish.
Comments: Very easy to drink and overall enjoyable. Left a glass lace.

Nov 2012 - bottle. Nice coffee start, mild, not much in the aftertaste. A very drinkable but not overly impressive stout. Nice enough. SarkyNorthener (4907) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle. Almost black beer with residual head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. The taste is roasted coffee and dark bitter chocolate with a slight sourness at the end. An OK stout. a_cross (639) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2013
Bottle; black, brown at the edges, very thin patchy tan head; aroma of chocolate malt; tastes of lightly roasted malt, juicy blackcurrant and chocolate; quite bitter; has a dry finish with a decent hop presence; it has a dusty quality throughout; possibly a little thin, but a decent stout at the weaker end of the strength spectrum. Beesbeer (450) - WALES - JAN 22, 2013
Sturdy, steady stout. Lots of chocolate and vanilla, with medium roast. Light malts. Easy drinking. probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
500ml bottle from UK via Fred (thanks!). Deep brown black with a small tan head. Nice dark roasted malts with a touch of tang, coffee, a touch of chocolate, nice. Much like the nose, nice dark roasted malts with a touch of tang and earthiness; dry with limited bitterness and a pleasant roasted malt finish.
