The classic Welsh Brains. Undeniable British but not as flat on bottle as often seen on cask. Very mild. Doesn’t insult anyone. Pleasent and a little dull.
Bottle. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. Source not recorded. No tasting notes kept, just rating. p0urmeac0ld0ne (195) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - AUG 22, 2017
a classic welsh brew that is known affectionately by some locals as "skull attack". a smooth traditional bitter with a nice aftertaste and bite. nothing compared to the crafty IPA hop explosions of course, but enough to keep you drinking over the legions of dirty dishwater-like "ales" in the uk. perhaps i’m biased though, as it’s only brewed 20 miles down the road. tallpall (3) - Glenavy, IRELAND - JUL 17, 2017 does not count
Pint at weatherspoons. Golden /mid brown with off white head. A little caramel and bread wheat but apart from that mundane. I wont bother with a second.

nøddeagtig smag, smager lidt af classic med lidt mere smag. En lille smule syrlig, og lidt humle i eftersmag Camons (13013) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2017

Draught at the Old Ship Inn, Padstow. Aroma: hay, gooseberries. Appearance: clear, dark honey-brown, minimal head. Palate: light-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, bitter finish with a nice sweet note at the end. Taste: medium bitter with some vanilla. Not bad. twindadplus2 (732) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 29, 2017
Malty nose and flavor up front with that astringent, funky bitterness that I’m not a big fan of. It’s decent enough but I wouldn’t bother with another one. beer-yum (1866) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 12, 2017
Nutty aroma in an amber pour. Nice hop malt balance with just a hint of nut in the body makes this a deliciously different brew - and well worth another. AleTamer12 (22) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 25, 2016
