SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. A deliciously satisfying and refreshing pint!

Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2015
Bottle from Bargain Booze, New Mills, Derbyshire. Pours very pale gold with thin, frothy white head. Heavy hop and basement aromas. Citrus hops hit hard in the flavour. Bitter and refreshing. A good summer beer.

mauroruellas (792) - GETULINA, BRAZIL - JUL 5, 2015

tomer (3521) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAY 3, 2015
at a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, crystal clear gold color, biscuity malty aroma with a fruity hint, light fruity hoppy flavor, herbal hint and some maltiness, light to medium bitterness, light sourness. Simple but nice.

SilkTork (5738) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2015
500ml clear bottle, filtered. "Refreshingly Hoppy Ale" it says, but this is a blonde ale geared more to the lager drinkers than the APA drinkers. It presents as a lager with an indifferent pale malt, slightly greasy and grainy, but otherwise not there. Some mild dry bittering in the finish leaving a powdery taste is mostly what the hops give you, though there is some lemon and citric notes present. The SA name is just branding - it has nothing in common with that beer. Not good. It’s drinkable, but only just. And the clear glass means you get a whiff of light struck hops when you open the bottle.

Not a fan. Has a synthetic aftertaste, that gets more apparent as it warms, the further down the bottle you get. Not an awful beer but wouldn’t buy again.

MissPxx (991) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2014
Hoppy aroma. Golden honey colour. Clear as a bell. Sharp tasting. Hoppy aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cimbasso (892) - - NOV 1, 2014
Golden-coloured ale with a white head. Aroma is not very strong, and the taste is quite malty with a light bitterness from the hops. Pleasant taste, with hints of citrus and herbs. Flavoursome and highly drinkable, but just a little thin.

The_Osprey (7996) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2014
Bottle. Pale orange, small white head. Drank socially without taking notes - numbers only rating. Malty, soft bitterness, a bit meh.

Mrappz (1) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2014 does not count
Disappointed by the lack of taste to this beer. Tasted like any generic lager

Stout4stout (31) - neath, WALES - SEP 1, 2014
A spectacular beer. I have tried can & bottle, can is far better. Deeply satisfying hoppy ale. As good as it gets from a can I think!
