SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. Better than some are making out, hoppy taste but if you like it is fine. Not very complex but worth a go

Boothman (10) - Stockport, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2017
500ml bottle picked up in Wales. Aroma is yeast, followed by metal - smells lagery. Pours exceptionally clear with a good white head. Pretty well carbonated, and a good mouthfeel. Tastes as it smells, but with a soft lingering hop note (weak). Quite drinkable, but let down by the metallic tastes.

vinivini (2430) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUL 9, 2017
Can opens with wild gushing. Aroma & taste: buscuit malts and floral hops. Light to medium bitterness. Long hoppy finish. Generally decent.

Bottle. Pale Gold colour. Hoppy (grassy hops). Fruity (citrus-lemon and grapefruit). Malty caramelly base. Nice hop/malt balance. Sweet with a dry hoppy finish. (2009-06)

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden colour. Semi sweet. Lightly malty. Light nose and subtly bitter finish. Meh beer.

For cheap beer I’ve had a lot worse. From bottle a clear gold colour. Has a bit of hop throughout. Easy drinking enjoyable

Beer with gold\light color, light body, medium bitterness, average carbonized, very light drinkable, (bought a 50cl bottle in Cardiff supermarket).

LazyPyro (1213) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2015
500ml bottle. Pours clear golden with a small long lasting white head. Aroma of hops and caramel malts, a little citrus fruit too. Taste is nice, hops, some caramel, and some citric bitterness. Seemed quite similar to a lager to me.

pijepiwo (431) - - AUG 14, 2015
Drink in bootle, color gold, white head. Malt aroma, with lite fruit. Taste fruity, malt, nice biternes at the finish

AshtonMcCobb (6612) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 4, 2015
Bottle. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - caramel maybe even butterscotch. Then lemon comes through. Taste - lemon and caramel. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - ok but not worth a revisit.
