SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. A deliciously satisfying and refreshing pint!

A little hoppy and very smooth. Light color with a little head. After a long day in London, it was very enjoyable and refreshing.

my least favorite of the SA varieties. smoother and creamier than the bottled variety (which is to be expected from a pulled cask ale) but lacking in the hoppy flavors of the bottle. don’t get me wrong, the hops are there, they are just buried a bit more. a level, sound brew, but somewhat underwhelming compared to others that this brewery offers.

Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Aug 2010 - Amber Gold in colour. Hoppy; grassy hops. Fruity; citrus. Malty; caramel. Light fruity hops over malt backbone. Easy drinking. Sessionable. (2010-08)

Cask at The Old Arcade in Cardiff. Pours amber gold/white head. Aroma is lightly spicy and caramel. Med body or nearly. Flavor is light caramel/mild floral/hint of grass. Finishes lightly fruit, hint of tea; refreshing.

DruncanVeasey (8283) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2015
The Felix, Nuneaton- one that nearly got away. Dense collared gold wafting with unusual galangal and pineapple rock sweetness blended with gentle pine. Same odd candy rock sweetness on the palate with galangal, lemon drop and aniseed. Some liquorice and that Caribbean herb I can never remember (sorrel). Cherry Tunes also despite the goldenness. Quite pleasant and completely unlike anything I’ve tasted for some time.

Pint at the Stone Trough Gateshead . Golden body white head that disappeared. Vaguely citrus aroma and flavour, but no particularly outstanding features. Bland as could be.

Giochaurand (533) - FINLAND - MAY 12, 2015

jmgreenuk (9978) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 10, 2015
Gravity cask at the Walsall Camra, beer festival 2015. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light hop. The flavour is light bodied with a light malt, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
