Cask at The Mulberry Leaves, Leek (Marstons) A clear deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, subtle orange, butterscotch, slight perfume, some yeast and grassy, floral hops. Taste of butterscotch, some caramel, yeast, subtle orange, slight sulphur and floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, grainy kind of finish with some floral bitterness. Cask @ The Hand and Flower, London. Pours deep amber with a small long lasting off white head leaving nice lace. Aroma is citric, yeasty, malty and hoppy. Back at The Crown, Nuneaton, killing time before the last train, 16/07/11. Clean gold under a lacing white swirl. Aroma of hay, jellied fruits. Flavour of hay, orange rind, creamy soft afters. Some herbal and hop-like characteristics. Even at this late stage, tastes pretty good.
