"The Oxfordshire Beer"
Previously sub-titled "Organic Beer"
Ingredients: Pale & Crystal malts; Styrian Golding, Golding, Fuggle and Admiral hops
Brakspear Oxford Gold is a remarkably zesty brew, with fresh, citrussy aromas and a firm, fruity flavour. Pale ale malts provide the beer with its gold-gilt shimmer, spruced by a hatful of crystal malts to give body, texture and a delicate honey’d wrap.

Pours golden, with a thick foamy off-white head. Aroma is lemon and grasses. Fuggles shows up in musty finish. Medium sweet. Medium-full body.

sarauckelman (542) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2016
Clear amber with thin white head. Crisp, clean aroma, can’t really smell the fuggles, though they’re tastable on the finish. Starts off clean and grainy, ends a bit musty and hoppy. Medium bodied.

500ml bottle from Morrisons Pours clay golden with a thick white head. Aromas of butterscotch and lemon. Taste is similar. Thin finish. Dull. £1 though so what can you really expect?

Working my way through the aldi ale section. This has been the best yet. Couldn’t get much aroma from it, good fruity flavour with a bitter finish. Pretty good one from Marston.

Pours clear amber. Not much aroma just a bit of hay and grass. Bland taste with some low bitterness.

April, 2009. Oxford Gold Good initial hop bite, tasty orange hued malt. Good condition. This is a tasty Brakspear bitter - nothing exceptional, but nicely done - quite dry, refreshing, well made and tasty. Does the job. [3.3]
Jan, 2015 Pleasant beer. Clean and sweet with some delicate integrated hops. A good best bitter, nicely straddling the gap between a session and a premium bitter. Very drinkable. [3.0]
