"The Oxfordshire Beer"
Previously sub-titled "Organic Beer"
Ingredients: Pale & Crystal malts; Styrian Golding, Golding, Fuggle and Admiral hops
Brakspear Oxford Gold is a remarkably zesty brew, with fresh, citrussy aromas and a firm, fruity flavour. Pale ale malts provide the beer with its gold-gilt shimmer, spruced by a hatful of crystal malts to give body, texture and a delicate honey’d wrap.

Bottled. Colour is amber, with big white fluffy head. Aroma is hoppy and a bit honey with some malts in it. Flavour is honey, flowery hops and mouldy. Weird thing is that there is something very alcohol-like in finish.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A slow grower this beer. Fruity but also bitter. Good!

Bottle shared at the chriso pre-Christmas tasting 2014 - London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a creamy white head. Papery pale malts in the nose, hay, baked grains. Light sweet flavor, pretty dry, with bits of peach, melon, lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. More paper to finish, light grains, faint bitter hay. Pretty meh.

Bottled (BB 09/2006)
Hazy pale copper, small white head. Yeasty, a bit sweet nose and what I suppose is Target hops. Barley, some roasted notes, then strong hoppy finish. A bit yeasty with honey notes, good bitter with character.
