Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Marris Otter, Black, and Crystal malts, Oats, Target hops.
Launched as a 7.2% abv bottle conditioned beer in 2005 when the brewery moved to Witney. In 2011 briefly switched to filtered in 330ml bottles, then back to bottle conditioned at 6.7%, later returning to 500ml bottles. Name changed from Triple to Triple III in 2015.
Thanks to the two fermentations in the Brakspear ’Double Drop’ system, this highly aromatic and satisfying strong beer delivers its rich flavour with subtlety and balance. Crystal, Black and Maris Otter pale malts provide the backbone of this outstanding rich beer. Hops are added three times to provide a good balance between bitterness and fragrance. This is a triple hopped strong beer, packaged in individually numbered bottles.

mr_h (6215) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JAN 7, 2015
500ml bottle (no. 189,950) from Tesco, Ayr - clear russet, lot of tiny bubbles, thin bubbly beige head, caramel and toffee in the aroma, intermittent lacing, sweet, oily, malty, some fruitiness, high carbonation

Quack-Duck (9568) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2014
bottle. Amber-golden with a white head. Malty with fruity hints, some shy dusty hops in the finish.

spacecube (1822) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2014
500ml bottle, pours ruby with a small tan head. Malty aroma with caramel and toffee notes, ripe banana, hints of chocolate as well. Full bodied with an oily creamy texture developing to a finish that has some bitterness but keeps sweetness through. Soft carbonation. Decent.

Moravius (1559) - Berlin, GERMANY - DEC 12, 2014

Boozy, with quite a lot of banana esters atypical in British beers. Hops come through as floral and spicy. Sweet and syrupy. ok.

zenkis (875) - Ogre, LATVIA - NOV 29, 2014
Triple III, bottle conditioned, bottle no: 101508
Pours ambery to slightly reddish with beige small cap, soapy foam. Aroma - pleasant but not intense, berries plus caramel malts, slightly sourich, taste is light sweet, min sour at the end, mild bitter. Short aftertaste, sip is gone fast. Light to medium body, compote and a bit slick texture. This beer just lacks flavor intensity, pitty.

leaparsons (10976) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2014
Bottle. Amber brown with an off white foam. Aromas are weetabix and black tea with almonds. Burnt toffee with raisins and bready yeast. Flavours are sweet dark toffee with raisins and bready cookie dough. Warming spices with mellow lemon. Peppery on the finish. Decent.

BlackHaddock (8136) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2014
500ml bottle # 038189: BBD 31 Oct 14, some 9 days ago. Poured slowly into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 9 Nov 14. Huge lightly tanned foaming head on top of a dull chestnut coloured body. This bottle conditioned ale has an aroma that leads with roasted maltiness, some dark fruits follow along with a raisin hint or two, but light roasted malts rule the nose. The taste is also malt first, semi-sweet and again with a fruity and dried fruit feel later in the flavouring. Good body depth which helped to hide the alcohol level nicely. I really enjoyed this brew and am annoyed I allowed the bottle to become ’out of date’ before drinking it: I must have had it on my shelves for over a year and just kept overlooking it and awaiting the right time to open it.

christhoel (286) - chesterfield, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2014
Faint Sour aroma, with cherry notes. Pours ruby red with a thin white head. Very little in the way of sediment. Soft biscuit palate, with a zesty bitter finish, alcohol reasonably prominent.

roverstan (1) - Basildon, Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2014 does not count
I used to adore the "old Triple" but something happened to it about a year ago , I do not think it is anything to do with the drop in strength , but I do not know why it was dropped , government poking their nose maybe , but it is not the same beer I absolutely adored for many years from Henley and from Witney,PLEASE SORT IT OUT! My life has changed for the worst without it.Best regards Stan.
