Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Marris Otter, Black, and Crystal malts, Oats, Target hops.
Launched as a 7.2% abv bottle conditioned beer in 2005 when the brewery moved to Witney. In 2011 briefly switched to filtered in 330ml bottles, then back to bottle conditioned at 6.7%, later returning to 500ml bottles. Name changed from Triple to Triple III in 2015.
Thanks to the two fermentations in the Brakspear ’Double Drop’ system, this highly aromatic and satisfying strong beer delivers its rich flavour with subtlety and balance. Crystal, Black and Maris Otter pale malts provide the backbone of this outstanding rich beer. Hops are added three times to provide a good balance between bitterness and fragrance. This is a triple hopped strong beer, packaged in individually numbered bottles.

Bottle at home, a birthday gift thaks to Robyn and James, 14/10/13. Lightly hazed dark amber with a good sized light biege head. Nose is dark fruits, caramel, cake mix, bread dough, light spice, honey, brown sugars. Taste comprises dark fruits, dates, fruit cake, light honey, bready malts, molasses, brown sugars, raisens. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation - a little prickly, bitter finale with light sugars. Decent enough English strong.

0.33 bottle. Thin, big, white head; amber liquid. Strong hop aroma, sweet touch of malts and caramel, a lot of fruits, and some ethanol with marmalade. The taste is rather bitter, has a mostly hop character with some delicate malty additions and the marmalade again. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation. Finish is a bit short and not as bitter; also here there is marmalade. All in all the beer is certainly interesting but not particularly remarkable about it.

Red colour, almost no head. Caramel, toffee. Very sweet. The label mentions hops, but can’t really find any, just sweetness, that’s all.

jaghana (6412) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 13, 2013
Bottle 50cl, a clear amber beer with medium head. Nose is on caramel and fruit hops. Aroma is mainly on caramel dimension : sweet caramel, smooth butter caramel, light burnt caramel, light orange notes are there too. Body is a bit alcoholic like, on finish the whole hops comes out with a very nice bitterness that remains quite long and good grassy/ fruity touch.
