A mid to dark orange-brown coloured beer with a weak off white head. A light roasted malt aroma, slightly nutty with the suggested coffee and then a fruity hoppiness. Dry mouthfeel. A mild malt taste to start, nutty, slightly bready and again the coffee element which also brings forth a sweet liquorice flavour. Towards the end there is a ripe fruit flavour tartness from the hops. The finish is tart and hoppy.
Bottle purchased from the brewery’s stall at the 2013 Burnham Deepdale Christmas Market. imdownthepub (15518) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2012
Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Cromer Farm & Health Shop, Cromer, Norfolk. Chestnut brown with cream head. Fuller malty body, good grainy depth with a woody note and a light fungal earthiness. Fills out with a slightly boiled vegetable note, the beer is decent enough.
