Ungstrup's rating

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 8/20
Ungstrup (38414) - Citizen of the universe, - JUN 29, 2004
An orange beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and grain. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and an OK bitter end. It leaves a sticky feeling in the mouth.

rok1024 (1272) - Maribor, SLOVENIA - DEC 28, 2013
Golden appearance with medium head. Hoppy and herbal notes, overall decent but now retired pilsener.

ShivanDragon (4614) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2013
@Backlog donker gouden, witte schuimkraag, mout, licht bittertje, redelijk zoet, vergeten en een andere graag

Frisse geur met iets van citrus, aangenaam bittertje in de hoofdsmaak met ook wat zoet. Mooie balans. Bitter in de nasmaak is prima.

OllieBBommel (1560) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2012
[email protected] (2004), 30cl. Head: white colored.Color: pale yellow. Aroma: some malt, some hops. Taste: sweet, bitter, sour. Palate: some malt, some hops, lasting. Overall: example of bad marketing.

Brand Pilsener is a heavy tasting beer. It starts of like any other pilsner, soft and easy going, but finishes with a really bitter aftertaste. This is a beer that you either hate or love.

mike_77 (7096) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2008
Very smooth, not too gassy. Rich, full flavour for a pilsener with a little sweetness, clean aftertaste.

Straling (363) - Hoensbroek, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2008
Bottle 30cl. Pours a clear golden colour with a small size head and good carbonation. Smell is hoppy and spicy, also some fruits. Taste is almost like any other pilsener, not much to define this from any other pilsener.

Borresteijn (7491) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 14, 2008
This has been on the market for a very short time, I believe it is retired now. A sweeter, malty and a bit more fruity version of their normal pilsener. Added nothing to their beer spectrum. But that never stopped any big brewer.

turbothy (1141) - Bonn, GERMANY - APR 15, 2006
Pours medium dark amber. Smells and tastes almost like standard bad strong lager, but with a bit less alcohol and a bit more pleasant taste.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 15, 2006
Bottled. Deep golden colour, mediumsized foamy head. Malty and hoppy nose along with a weak sting of alcohol. Flavour is sweet malty, with some hops balancing up the sweetness. Some breadyness and weak fruitiness also noteable. A bit papery in finish, and stivky, but dry palate.
