Aroma is spices and sweet. Dark copper appearance, lovely beige head. Taste is sweet spicy caramel, winterbeerish. Some bitterness, dry aftertaste

Lekker bokbier. Donker roodbruin met redelijke lichte kraag. Smaak niet al te zoet, wat kruiden, caramel en mout. Verder niet zo bijzonder.

Aroma: not much malty, bit sweetish, hops a tiny bit bitter, not much. Alcoholic and dry I’d say. Amber color, liquid very clear, head was reddish, heaad dissapeared rather quickly. Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, very good overall.. light body, oily feel, soft carbonation, Good! Overall: Enjoyed this beer, for a cheap beer it’s very good, maybe a bit sweet in the beginnning. Liked it!

Pours a nice dark red color with good foam head. Very tasty beer, nice bitterness and great aroma of caramel and a bit nuts. Very good doppelbock.

Bottle from a Mitre, off licence, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Thurs 30th October 2011 consumed Tues 4th October 2011 Reddy/amber in appearance crystal clear, looks a stunner. Plenty of toffee, (burnt toffee) with a nice lacing of cocoa and bitter chocolate, its much better than I was expecting. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Bottle. Looks amazing in original glass. Nice, copper red colour with a tanned head that disappears quickly. Sweet aroma of alcohol, yeast and cookies. Flavour has a dry, alcoholic sweetness mixed with bitterness of licorice. Quite ok.

Not bad but not good either. Nice dark brown red color, average smell but not a very nice taste. Low to medium body and carbo.

The taste was a bit better than the taste made it look. Other things are pretty decent but not mindblowing.

bottle, courtesy of Bierkoning. Deep brown colour, large beige head. Malty, hints of raiains, hints of cardboard. Ok.

Bottle. The aroma is light malty, some chocolate, otherwise the aroma is not very strong. The medium large creamy pale beige head has a normal duration, the body is dark red. A light roasted taste, quite malty with some bitter chocolate. The body is strong, very creamy with a soft carbonation.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, small head. Starts malty and sweet, some caramel hints, also a bit alcoholic. Finish still sweet, warming alcoholic, some fruity notes. I liked it! Thanks to bierkoning for that one!
