UPDATED: OCT 11, 2012 Clean dark amber with foamy light tan head. Yeast, sticky dried fruit, licorice, zoethout and pie dough. Creamy full body with alcohol - but nice. Sweet. End is a bit short. No rough edges. Probably my favourite bock of the big Dutch brewers. (33cl bottle and on tap) Kavu (5249) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2011
Pours dark red with a low head. Aroma is malts and some alcohol. Flavor is malts, dark fruits and some alcohol. Not bad. kerolasa (409) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2011
Clear red colored beer without head. Smells malty and sweet. Yes, this is definitely a bock, and from the better end of scale. To be honest I’m not biggest fan of this style, but Brand has made decent enough product that I can think of having this again. Main reason being is that this is not overly sweet as bocks so often tend to be. MaartenRF10 (1959) - Wageningen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2011

Aroma is spices and sweet. Dark copper appearance, lovely beige head. Taste is sweet spicy caramel, winterbeerish. Some bitterness, dry aftertaste
Lekker bokbier. Donker roodbruin met redelijke lichte kraag. Smaak niet al te zoet, wat kruiden, caramel en mout. Verder niet zo bijzonder.
Aroma: not much malty, bit sweetish, hops a tiny bit bitter, not much. Alcoholic and dry I’d say.
Amber color, liquid very clear, head was reddish, heaad dissapeared rather quickly.
Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, very good overall..
light body, oily feel, soft carbonation, Good!
Overall: Enjoyed this beer, for a cheap beer it’s very good, maybe a bit sweet in the beginnning. Liked it! MMR (832) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2011
Pours a nice dark red color with good foam head. Very tasty beer, nice bitterness and great aroma of caramel and a bit nuts. Very good doppelbock. Fin (11059) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2011
Bottle from a Mitre, off licence, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Thurs 30th October 2011 consumed Tues 4th October 2011 Reddy/amber in appearance crystal clear, looks a stunner. Plenty of toffee, (burnt toffee) with a nice lacing of cocoa and bitter chocolate, its much better than I was expecting. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4 MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2011
Bottle. Looks amazing in original glass. Nice, copper red colour with a tanned head that disappears quickly. Sweet aroma of alcohol, yeast and cookies. Flavour has a dry, alcoholic sweetness mixed with bitterness of licorice. Quite ok. Benzai (16922) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2011
Not bad but not good either. Nice dark brown red color, average smell but not a very nice taste. Low to medium body and carbo.
