COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear ruby red colour with a pale off white head. Aroma is malty and sharp and sour. Has a robust taste of roasted malt, hops and caramel that is sharp and bitter. Leaves a bitter but refreshing aftertaste.

clear dark amber, caramel, alcohol, woody, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, cherry, not very interesting.

250 ml. draft @ Bierspeciaalcafe De Paas. Post-Borefts 2015. Day 1. Clear amber, solid creamy off-white head. Nose is metallic, herbal, sweet caramel, bit dull. Taste is metallic caramel, cough syrup, sugar, sugar burned on the stove, herbal, caramel, sugar,… Body is caramel, bit metallic. Rather boring but good for what it is and is supposed to be. Satisfactory enough on its own terms.

Bottle 30cl. Brown, ruby red with an off white head. Almost no Co2. Aroma reminds me of pilsner, nothing special. The taste is sweet with a slight bitter undertone. Tastes a bit chemical to me.

A nice sweet beer from a larger scale craft brewer. Sweet with some caramel and nutty character.

Cleaning the fridge tasting. Bottle, pours dark ruby with a beige head. Aroma: slightly burnt caramel, dough, cinnamon, herbs. Taste: caramel, chestnut, herbs, leaves, vanilla. Sweet, moderate light bitterness getting stronger in the finish, oily texture, light-medium body. Nutty, spicy and somewhat boozy finish. Quite nice.
