Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, reddish color with a small beige head that fades away quickly. Smell of aspartame and artificial sweeteners. Flavor is very artificial, full of notes of diacetyl, aspartame again. Yuck! Best steer clear...

33cl bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Dark red to purple to dark brown color, small off-white to beige head that diminishes instantly. Smell and taste malts, sweetness and animal food. Not good. Low body, low to medium carbonation.

Bottle thx to myself @ home. Ruby red to brown colour with no head. Smells sweet, sugary, malty, some red fruits and raisins. Tastes sugar water, full on malty.. Like a German malt drink. Soft carbo, thin body. Me no likey.

McTapps (6976) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - DEC 10, 2012
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Deep brown-black colour with steady and smoothy head. Very creamy texture. Taste of rich malt, bittersweet chocolate and some mild hops. Very sweet but nice though.

Bottle shared with McTapps. After starting my oud bruin-life with a heineken the day before I had high hopes in that one. Well, I expected a nice Malzbier with some sweetnes and alcohol. I got a not sweet enough Malzbier with not enough malt and too much alcohol (which I couldn´t taste at all). Just mediocre.

Bottle of 300 ml at home. ABV is 3.5%. It pours a very dark brown, non transparent beer with a thin, brownish head that dissapears slowly but steadily. Aroma is sweet, slighty fruity, maybe raisins (?) Taste is also very sweet, I get some caramel flavour and it leaves behind, after each seep a very thin sour aftertaste that combines well with the overall sweetness. On the body is quite thin, carbonation is almost non existent but I believe it has a high drinkability.

Delicious, sweet, mild brown beer. Would be a perfect dessert beer with a cake or pie. dark brown with almost no head. Sweetness of prunes and raisins. Different style and unique to the Netherlands....

deanso (10101) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - JUL 11, 2012
33cl bottle @home. Thin off white head. Clear dark amber pour. Nice enough but a bit too sweet. No discernable bitterness.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2013 Good aroma, appearance, taste and palate. Decent, memorable. Rated from the bottle.
