(bottle, 30cl, vintage 2011/12) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, candy, accompanied by a slightly vinous berry-fruity touch. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Mellow toast-malty, slightly sugary taste with caramel and notes of dark and red berries; sweet malty and slightly sticky, also mildly fruity finish with traces of alcohol shining through. A tad too sweet for my liking, nevertheless a decent brew. 26.XII.12 rok1024 (1272) - Maribor, SLOVENIA - JAN 23, 2013
Decent aroma, appearance, taste and palate, overall memorable. Rated from the bottle. jmgreenuk (9867) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a clear golden brown with a thin tan head. The aroma was weak, but there were some yeast and malt notes. The flavour is bitter and yeast with some hints of malt and caramel on the palate and a touch of bitterness from the alcohol in the aftertaste. A very drinkable beer in fact that did grow on me as it got a little warmer. vipinvelp (4512) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2012
Clear copper color with off-white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is rather sweet caramel with some alcohol and yeast. Taste is bittersweet with caramel most present. Short sweet aftertaste, not bad actually. (Velp 201212) pivnizub (10768) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 27, 2012
Bottle: Clear, reddish-amber coloured, small and stable off-white head, sweet fruity and toasty-caramelly nose, already is a vinois touch detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied; caramelly-bitter finish. Nice, undemanding brew…

Great aroma, i like the color, and i do like the taste, but nog the best beer i had to drink. Sweet and roasty taste, with a bitter aftertaste. Normally i don’t like that, but somehow, this beer can use it for it’s advantage. I like it!
ShivanDragon (4504) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2012

aroma: zoet, caramel, donkerfruit, kruidig
smaak: sterk smaken van zoetig caramel, gebrande mouten, zoet, kruidig, en bittertje.
medium body, dun van textuur,

Bottle shared with McTapps. Not a bad one and definitely one of the better from Brand. Pours in most beautiful in deep red and offers a nice nose of yeasty belgian blonde. Heavy beer which comes easy. Good one. McTapps (6957) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - DEC 10, 2012
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Medium ruby-red colour with low head. Taste of sweet whiskey mash, smoked quality meat, light hops and raisins. Starts like a classical Doppelbock but finishes very smooth, elegant and light. Great beer. Christos (5885) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2012
From a bottle of 300ml poured into a wide glass. Its colour is faded ruby, that of a black tea only lighter. One finger head, quickly gone. No bubbles.Aroma is of caramel, fruits, roasted nuts (almond?). Taste is bitter. On the palate is medium carbonated, medium thick bodied and a leaves you with a dryness.
